Two Roads Brewing Co. joins forces with over 30 Connecticut breweries to raise $7,400 for the CT Brewer’s Guild.
The money was raised during Two Roads’ annual CT Brewer’s Fest on Nov. 4, when over 34 CT breweries came together at the Stratford, CT tasting room to celebrate all the great beer the Nutmeg state has to offer! Over 350 CT craft beer lovers experienced an intimate night with some of their favorite local breweries for an even better cause!
This donation will directly benefit the guild’s continued efforts to fuel, protect and promote the craft beer industry in the state! In addition, the money will help with the initial funds needed for fundraising events and continue to help benefit the CT Brewery Passport Program. According to Phil Pappas, Executive Director of the CT Brewer’s Guild, CT currently has 109 breweries across the state, with an additional 20-25 in the process of opening. As of 2018, Pappas said, “we support over 5,500 jobs, with a $753 million economic impact, and produce over 213,000 barrels.
“Events like these, along with many others that CT breweries put on throughout the year, assist the Guild in showcasing what the CT craft beer industry has to offer, allowing beer enthusiasts to sample a multitude of beers from across the state in one convenient location. The CT Brewers Fest has consistently been one of the best beer events to attend, and the sold out crowd every year, proves that it’s one that you don’t want to miss,” Pappas said.
Kristen Malski, Senior Manager of Consumer Events at Two Roads Brewing Co. said, “The CT Brewer’s Fest is an event that all Two Roads employees look forward to every year. We love being a part of the nutmeg state’s beer community and we are even more thrilled to be able to contribute to the guild, an organization that promotes and raises awareness about independent craft breweries. See you next year – cheers to 2020!”
