2019 CONNArtist Rules, Regulations and Submission Guide
Our contest is open to artists in all states where Two Roads is sold. There will be prizes awarded to the top six artists and the top 15 finalists will be invited to an unveiling at our brand Two Roads CONNArtist Festival happening at our brewery in Stratford, CT on Sept. 7, 2019.
The 15 finalists will be chosen on our website by Two Roads fans. The winner, selected by a panel of judges, will receive $1000. Five runners up will receive $250 each.
All entries must be submitted by June 30, 2019 at 11:59PM EST.
How It Works:
The winner of our CONNArtist program will have their work showcased on one of our fermenters inside Two Roads Brewery as well as featured on a four-pack of 16oz cans for a brewery only beer release!
Art must be 2D only and be reproducible for display on our fermenter (vertical format) as well as on a limited can. The dimensions of the artwork submitted must scale up to 7 feet wide by 9 feet tall in order to ensure legibility on our fermenter.
Art can be uploaded via a digital application on the Two Roads website here www.tworoadsbrewing.com/connartists.
Entrants can be from any state where Two Roads is sold, and entrants must be 21 or older.
Official Rules and Submission Details
Contest open to U.S. residents of ME, VT, NH, NY, MA, RI, CT, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, OH, KY, CO and DC. Any Two Roads Brewing Co. employee or family member of any Two Roads Brewing Co. employee are prohibited from entering the contest.
Two Roads Brewing (TRB) will accept submissions until 11:59 PM EST on June 30, 2019.
Images of two dimensional entries (no sculpture or 3 dimensional art) must be submitted via the digital application and easily reproducible on a large scale.
Consumers will vote on TwoRoadsBrewing.com to select the top 15 finalists. Votes are limited to one person per day. From these 15 contestants, a panel of judges will select the winner and five runner ups based on a preset criteria.
All artwork must be an original concept of the artist.
Usage and Exclusivity Clause:
Upon entering the competition, the Grand Prize winner of the competition hereby allows Two Roads Brewing Company the unconditional and perpetual right to, in all manner, use and reuse the winning piece on an exclusive basis. The winning artwork is thereby exclusively available to Two Roads Brewing Co for publication and is not to be entered in other competitions or reproduced in any other fashion elsewhere.
2D submissions can include drawing, painting, digital art and graphic design. If you have any questions regarding an acceptable medium please contact email@example.com.
Art should depict subject matter relating to the artist’s own “Road Less Traveled” interpretation.
All artwork submitted may be reproduced by Two Roads Brewing for the purpose of promoting our contest, beer or any other aspect of CONNArtist.
Consumers will vote on TwoRoadsBrewing.com from July 1 to July 7, 2018 to pick the 15 finalists. VOTES ARE LIMITED TO ONE PERSON PER DAY.
Judging will take place the second week of July.
Art will be judged by a panel of Two Roads employees and local art curators and exports. Two Roads reserves the right to pick a panel of judges as they see fit.
Judging criteria is as follows and is equally weighted:
- APPEARANCE - Visually attractive
- DESIGN - appropriate user of design elements (form, line, color, texture)
- WORKMANSHIP - Good technique/Item appropriately finished
- SUBJECT - Item fits into category/theme of contest
- (1) Grand Prize - Grand Prize Winner's art will be reproduced and displayed on a fermenter at Two Roads Brewery in Stratford, CT as well as a can label for a brewery only beer release. Grand Prize winning artist will receive $1,000 and be honored at an unveiling party at the brewery during Two Roads CONNArtist Festival on 9/7/2019. Our Grand Prize winner will also get invites for 10 friends to attend the event.
- (5) First Prizes - 5 First Prize Winners will each receive a $250 check, have their art featured at the CONNArtist Festival as well as Two Roads Brewing social media accounts.
