Leslie Bloome is an Emmy Award Winning, 30-year Industry Veteran of one of film and theaters most heard but least heard of art forms: Foley Artistry. He has worked on over 400 feature films, TV, animations and gaming credits. He is known for his work on The Skulls, The Place Beyond the Pines and The Stepford Wives.
Foley artists record or perform live sound effects and background noises to make scenes on stage and in the movies feel real. Bloome will be discussing this unique career and his own story before performing Foley live for a 30-minute silent film, The Unsilent Picture written and directed by Alex Harvey, for an unheard of evening!
“Between the Barrels” is a series of concerts, presentations, Q&A, storytelling and more to be held on the production floor of Area Two literally between the barrels. The performers, educators and amateur enthusiasts will be selected for their ability to bring something unique and experimental to the average variety show. The “stage” will be set between our barrels and audience members will be seated in rows in front of them. Pre-show and post-show beers in the Coolship Room, performance and Q&A time allotted is 2 hours.
